A heat pump heating installation works by taking heat from outside and bringing it inside your home to make it warm. It works like a refrigerator, but in reverse. Instead of making things cold, it makes things warm. It has a special fluid called refrigerant that absorbs heat from the air outside and brings it inside through pipes. Then, the heat is released inside your home to make it nice and cosy.
So, instead of using electricity or gas to create heat, a heat pump uses the heat that is already in the air outside to heat your home.
